Frame Sync Seek Period |
(Conventional Wide, ASTRO Data) |
![]()
Selects the amount of time that the radio listens for a Frame Sync Sequence. A Frame Sync Sequence on the channel indicates that there is channel activity. If a Frame Sync Sequence is not detected within this time, the radio assumes the channel is idle and then transmits the next Common Air Interface (CAI) packet queued for transmission. This selection applies for all ASTRO type Conventional Systems. Time is in milliseconds.

This value should be set to the maximum over-the-air Data Packet Duration. Example: For a maximum CAI packet size of 512 bytes, this value should be set to 750 ms. For proper operation on a channel with ASTRO voice present, due to the ASTRO voice frame size, this value should be set greater than 200 ms. |
